Inside a Datacenter, a large quantity of heavy equipment will be installed (server cabinets, UPS with batteries, rectifiers etc). Thick and heavy cables will supply the units with electrical power. Different sizes (foot prints) of the equipment will make standard 600x600 mm raised floor panels inconvenient to use.

In this type of premise, our ComFloor is a strongly favored system as alternative to a standard raised floor.

ComFloor consists of an independent, heavy-duty, bolted framework, with full flexibility to accommodate different kinds and sizes of equipment. Future expansion can easily be done by adding new support profiles under the floor panels.

The floor heights used for ComFloor in Data Centers are usually 500-1000 mm. The floor can be designed for any floor height between 300-2400 mm.

The standard Uniform Distributed Load capacity is 10 kN/m2. When heavy equipment is to be installed, additional reinforcement up to 60 kN/m2 (6000 kg/m2) can be added.

Normally, a laminated panel consisting of High-Density Chipboard is used in these types of applications, where the main criterion for the surface is a wear-resistant and light appearance.

The standard sizes of the panel are 800x600 and 600x600 mm. Upon request, special sizes can be produced to suit the needs of non-standard footprint of equipment. By using 800x600 mm panels, the amount of server rack rows can be increased with 25% in the room compared to standard 600x600 mm raised floor systems.

Non-combustible panels consisting of Calcium-Sulphate can be offered.

Different surface coverings can also be offered, including vinyl, natural linoleum and rubber.

Additional ventilated steel panels with adjustable or constant airflow for cooling of equipment can be installed under the cabinets or in the aisles between the cabinets.
