In Control Rooms for 24/7 Operation, a lot of different equipment is installed. Cables are most conveniently supplied through the floor void, penetrating up through the raised floor panels and into the support legs of the furniture.

The total amount of equipment can in some cases exceed many tons in a premise. Standard raised floor systems used for offices can literally collapse, with enormous costs involved.

In this type of premise, our ComFloor is the preferred system.

ComFloor consists of an independent, heavy-duty, bolted framework, with full flexibility to accommodate different kinds and sizes of equipment. Future expansion can easily be done by adding new support profiles under the floor panels.

The floor heights used for ComFloor in Control Rooms is normally 400-1000 mm. When demands for higher floors exist, ComFloor can be delivered in floor heights from 300-2400 mm.

The standard Uniform Distributed Load capacity is 10 kN/m2. When heavy equipment is to be installed, additional reinforcement up to 60 kN/m2 (6000 kg/m2) can be added.

Normally, heavy duty commercial vinyl floor covering is used in this type of premises.

The standard size of the panel is 600x600 mm. Upon request, 800x600 mm or other special sizes can be produced to suit the needs of non-standard footprint of equipment.

Heavy and Non-combustible panels consisting of Calcium-Sulphate is preferred in this type of working environment. These panels will create a quiet work place and comfortable floor for walking on.

Different surface coverings can also be offered, including natural linoleum, carpet tiles, rubber and wooden parquetry.
